Gary Scott owns and operates LA/AeroPhotos of Pacific Palisades, California where his 18 years of experience as a professional motion picture cameraman, provides even the most demanding clients the assurance that they are working with Southern California's Premier Aerial Photography Service.

Clients of LA/AeroPhotos range from magazines, newspapers, still aerial shots for motion pictures (MGM) and television shows (CBS), along with Fortune 1000 companies, financial institutions, attorneys, commercial and residential builders, real estate developers, and individuals.

A Santa Monica native, Gary Scott started, at the early age of 8, as a darkroom assistant to a prominent sports photographer. He later began loading film magazines at trackside for him, and eventually shooting side by side with him. Before college he continued to shoot for Cycle News and Off Road Magazine. After college, he began a cinematography career and became a freelance aerial motion picture camera operator in 1988.

Gary was admitted into Local 659 of the Cinematographer's Union in 1989 and since 1990 he has specialized in shooting motion picture aerials using the Gyrosphere camera support system.

Most noteworthy, Gary is not a pilot with a professional camera, he is a professional cameraman with a pilot - this allows him to apply his photographic skills and creativity directly to the look and style of the final product.

Gary has won several awards for his outstanding work in aerial photography.
Most recently, he received the "Best of Show" and the "Best Artistic" awards in 2006, and both the "Best of Show", and the "Judge's Choice" awards at the Professional Aerial Photographers Association's International Print Competition in 2004.

Gary's film credits include many major motion pictures such as Independence Day, Stargate, The Horse Whisperer, What Women Want, Master and Commander, Up Close and Personal - as well as numerous commercials and music videos.
